Jen Meek
Instructor
Jennifer graduated magna cum laude from Point Park University with a concentration in jazz and modern dance performance. She has had the privilege of performing the works of Daniel Ezralow, David Parsons, Sean Curran, Margo Sappington, Lauri Stallings, Lar Lubovitch and Ann Reinking. While in Chicago she performed with Thodos Dance Chicago, Lucky Plush Productions, Concert Dance, and Hedwig Dances. Jennifer made her San Francisco debut in 2008 with Kunst-stoff and is also a performer with Capacitor. In addition to performing, she has been teaching dance to all ages in ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz. Upon graduation, she has also enjoyed choreographing on various professional and high school groups. In 2007, she choreographed and staged a full length original opera on semi professionals between the ages of 14 and 50. For the past two years in Chicago, she created and directed a training company for teenagers where she choreographed and directed 8 dances ranging from classical to contemporary. Jennifer is also a certified yoga teacher and believes in the importance of well being and artistic expression. She aims to share her passion and joy with every student in every class.
