On the floor All training programs encourage students to observe respectful behaviors including arriving for class in time to be on the floor stretching15 minutes before class.
T-Th 7:15 - 8:00 Ballet Intro Art of Movement
Small StudioThis class provides the opportunity for older teens and adults of all ages to discover or re-discover the art of ballet. It is designed as an asset of the Art of Movement training but can be taken alone for those who wish a short, twice weekly laboratory on the steps, positions and lines of ballet. Please wear ballet slippers.
T-Th 8:00 on the floor All training programs encourage students to observe respectful behaviors including arriving for class in time to be on the floor stretching15 minutes before class. Those who are continuing ballet into modern may take this 15 minutes to eat a healthy snack and arrive on the floor by 8:10.
T-Th 8:15 - 9:15 Modern II Art of Movement
Large StudioThis class provides a continuation of the ballet training, building a deeper understanding of modern dance. Most students will have previous experience in either ballet or modern dance, however the fast learner may do well in this class even without previous dance experience. Please participate with bare feet only.
T-Th 9:15–10:15 Modern Repertory
Art of Movement
Large StudioBy permission only, this class is designed to give students the opportunity to participate in the creation and performance of original dances. It is critical that students who enroll in the performance training not incur absences as it slows the entire class progression.

Sa 11:45 - 12:45 Modern Ballet II-III
Small StudioTeaching a thorough understanding of modern dance and ballet technique, this course will include days of full ballet, days of full modern dance and some days of a blend of the two techniques. Please have both bare footed tights and ballet shoes handy at every class.
Sa 1:00 - 3:00 II-III Improv, Partnering and Repertory
Small StudioThis class provides the skills that are unique to the MAD training program, skills that set the dancers we train apart from the group in auditions and performances. Based on the university method of training the whole person, this important addition to the MAD training program prepares dancers for college dance and careers in dance. “Without a full understanding of these principals, dancers are not prepared to work in the contemporary trends of the art of dance.” –Anandha Ray
