Moving Arts Dance Center is Moving!
We are at a critical turning point for the company. After ten months in our current location, with its three studio spaces and stage, Moving Arts Dance Center is moving to a lovely property on Franquette in Concord that has a large space which will house our large studio/theater, a smaller children's studio, our costume room, dressing room, and offices. This space has everything our current space has and more! But...
WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY!
In order to make this move happen, we need your support! Ten months ago we raised $15,000 to move into our current space. Now we must move again, and though the space is better in many ways, it has a $40,000 price tag. Here are some ways you can help make this dream a reality:
- Make a monetary donation. Call (925) 825-8399 to make a tax deductible donation.
- Inquire at your place of work about a grant.
- Volunteer your (or your friends') skills in electrical wiring, plumbing, remodeling, painting, hanging curtains, and generally making our new space into our home.
- Help us move our furniture, costumes, floors, and mirrors into our new space.
- Donate one of the many items we still need.
Moving Arts Dance Center is a community center where families are involved in the education of their children. The children receive classes that teach them professional levels of dance technique while encouraging their creative thinking. No-one else in the East Bay offers this kind of instruction and professional companies who see our children perform routinely tell us this level of dance on children before.
