Summer "Dance Noir" Performance Intensive
with Anandha Ray

Dance Noir is Ray's explorations into shadow, both figuratively and literally, in the creation of dance works that illuminate the human soul.  This opportunity is for advanced dancers to take company class, rehearse and create an informal performance with Moving Arts Dance! The company trains and rehearses M-Th 10:15 - 11:30 in Concord, (40 minutes from SF by BART), mastering "Intuitive Technique" and "Contemporary Partnering". After a brief break for lunch participants will rehearse with the company from 12:00 - 2:30 T and Th, and on M and W 12:00 - 2:30 will create ...original dances under the guidance of Anandha Ray. At the end of the workshop dancers will participate in an informal performance.

We have housing for a limited number of dancers for our summer intensive: several dancers can stay in one house together.
A limited number of scholarships are available for professional and advanced dancers.
