Why study with Moving Arts Dance?
Rapid Improvement
Directed by Anandha Ray who holds two masters degrees in dance, a Dance Therapy Registry and is a former chairperson of a university dance program, the training at Moving Arts Dance is comprehensive. Each summer students report back to us that as they re-enter their university or studio training after their summer with us, they excel to the next level and are bombarded by comments about their rapid improvement not only in technique but in their mature perform ability as well.
Professional Experiences
With mentoring by professional dancers and classes taught by masters of dance, the program offers experiences in the professional world of dance. The professional dancers of Moving Arts Dance take classes with the student dancers each morning, and will perform alongside the students in the final performances.
Resume Building
The MAD training builds dancers resume’s quite nicely. Students will have the opportunity not only to participate in a professional world premiere and perform in the San Francisco Bay Area, but they will have the opportunity to be mentored in the creation of their own choreography as well.
Dance Photographs
Internationally acclaimed dance photographer Scott Belding will photograph each summer student in their own dance portrait. These photographs are breath-taking & amazing works of art in which YOU are the subject. Your photographs will be available for purchase online at the end of the intensive.
Great Costumes
Dancers in the summer intensive wear professional costumes, often originals that were created for Moving Arts Dance. Those who create their own choreography have the option of borrowing Moving Arts Dance costumes for their premiere performance!
